The figure above the map shows the seasonal cycle of groundwater levels within each of the regimes. The x-axis shows the day of year (DOY) and the y-axis the standardized
water level (WLZ). (Bottom panel) Radial histograms showing the
distribution of the timing of minimum (red) and maximum (blue) water
levels for all sites within each groundwater regime. The labels around
the perimeter represent the months of the year starting with January (J)
at the top and proceeding clockwise to December (D).
